Confirmed cases vs signals
Dernière mise à jour : 12/05/2026
A signal is not automatically a confirmed case count. A signal can be a public alert, media report, scientific mention, surveillance note or suspected cluster that requires verification.
Confirmed case count
A confirmed count should be linked to an official or clearly identifiable source, with a date and a definition of what is counted.
Signal
A signal may indicate that an event should be monitored, but it should not be added to the confirmed case total unless the source confirms the figure and its meaning.
No verified data loaded
When a country is listed with 0, it means that no verified value has been loaded into this dataset. It does not necessarily mean that the disease has never occurred in that country.
